Assisi and Deruta
Located in the region of Umbria, Assisi is the quiet retreat to visit the sacred town where St. Francis was born, lived, began his ministry and buried. His tomb is located in the crypt of the majestic Church dedicated to the Saint that also features cycles of frescoes attributed to Giotto. The rolling medieval streets and the city’s silent prayerful aura leave clients with a sense of spirituality unlike any other. After a visit to Assisi, clients stop off in Deruta, the home of Italian ceramic goods. Master craftsmen open their workshops for demonstrations and purchases.
