We want to say Grazie, Grazie, Grazie for the breathtaking tour of Pisa and Tuscany that your driver, Marco, gave us on our visit to your beautiful country. First and foremost, Marco was a wonderful and considerate guide. He was thoughtful, kind, polite and extremely knowledgeable of the region and the history of the places that we visited. He gave us more than adequate time in each place while gently reminding us to stay on time so that we could maximize our visit. I must say he was very patient dealing with four American women that loved to shop! Marco went out of his way to make our visit memorable and he treated us like royalty. Since our visit was on a Sunday, many of the wineries were closed. Marco made a few phone calls and before we knew it he whisked us a breathtaking winery. We were given a private tour of the premises that gave us a thorough overview of the winemaking process. We were then treated to a wonderful wine tasting with some of the most delicious local cheese and meats and the most exquisite wines we ever tasted. After that Marco, always attentive to our needs, made more phone calls and arranged for us to have a beautiful lunch at a local restaurant. The family graciously kept their restaurant open past siesta to serve us. We were treated to delicious homemade pastas and desserts unlike any we tasted during our visit to Italy. In addition, Marco took us to some very lovely small villages. The villages in Tuscany were so pristine! It was unlike anything that we had ever seen. Marco treated us like “Reginas” and we will forever keep him and our wonderful tour of Tuscany in our hearts. When you see him, please give him our love, Marco with his warm and friendly personality along with the beautiful Tuscany made this stop easily the highlight of our trip. Grazie

Dear Friends Traveling in Italy:
I had the great fortune of meeting Marco Stivoli.
My best friend and I treated ourselves to a trip to Florence this past October 2008. We had contacted Marco prior to our arrival via email. He was always prompt in responding to my inquiries and questions offering suggestions and giving me the comfort and confidence I was looking for in planning our trip.
The minute he picked us up at our hotel, I knew we were in for some fun in the comfort of his luxury minivan. We spent two days with Marco. He took us to the coast to Portovenere and another town called Lerici. Spectacular views, quaint villages and fabulous food. Another day we went to Montepulciano. Marco suggested a place to have lunch. This was the home of a lovely lady, Elena. Her house was located in the most beautiful setting of the Tuscan countryside and we had a feast of typical Tuscan cuisine. How special this was for us! We then continued on with our day for a tour and wine tasting at a brunello wine estate. Two perfect days experiencing Tuscany!
Marco was so knowledgeable about the city of Florence as well as the Region of Tuscany. He spoke about the history of the region while we drove which kept us so interested the time in the car to our destination just flew by.
I would recommend the services of Marco Stivoli for personal tours. He will make suggestions and help you create an experience of a lifetime.

Dear Marco - It has been over a week since our return to the United States. I want to thank you on behalf of all 15 of us in the group for being such a large part of the wonderful memories we have returned home with.
We had so many spectacular experiences during our trip to Italy. Planning a trip like this long distance, especially on the Internet can be very scary. The first success was landing at the Firenze Airport and seeing your driver waiting to take us to our Villa to start our two week journey. When things went as planned, we often referred to each success as a miracle.
The best miracle of the trip was finding you and your company.
We came to rely on you and your expertise as you drove us around "Bella Italia". We never expected that the Tour Company would become such an intricate part of our memories, but your expertise, professionalism and more importantly your warm, charming sense of humor allowed us to see and hear Italy in a way that we would not have otherwise experienced. The drive to Pisa for the Luminaria, Cinque Terre and Lucca passed so quickly as you shared with all of us the story of Tuscany, Florence and the country you obviously love.
Alessandro was also wonderful and those that rode with him equally enjoyed the experience. Please give him our best, as well.

My wife and I were joined by another couple from the United States for a vacation to Italy. In the course of planning, we found Marco...and what a difference it made in our trip.
Marco was professional, knowledgeable, courteous, puntual and fun! He and his shiny Mercedes minivan were exactly where he said they would be every time we turned around to look for him. His knowledge of the facts and details of the history and historical sites in the Tuscany region were absolutely outstanding. He drove us from Florence to Cortona, touring along the way. His English was very, very good (and our Italian non existent!). He made lunch arrangements for us at wonderful places both days. The second day he picked us up at the Villa and took us to several wonderful places in Tuscany, again providing insightful history and useful facts along the way.
The final day he was not able to personally escort us, and we were very sad. He found a very good substitute, but as good as the substitute was, he was not Marco!
Marco and his company are not the least expensive in Italy, nor are they the most expensive. Even with the cruel exchange rate, his service is worth every Euro he must charge.
If you are considering doing anything in the Florence - Tuscany region, you simply must call Marco. Don't sit in seat 24B of some big, impersonal bus...ride in comfort and style in Marco's Mercedes...and really find out what there is to know about and see in the region.
Salute, Marco...we will be back!

Our time in Florence with Marco last May 2007 was the best ever! It was a blessing from God that Marco was assigned to us. My mother has trouble walking due to her recent knee operation, and Florence being a "walking city" was definitley going to be very difficult. However, we did not experience any of it during our days with Marco. Marco spoiled us totally! He would go out of his way to make things easy for my mom, and you could feel his sincerity in wanting to help and wanting to give us, his guests the best time possible. Marco's passion for his work and his genuine interest in meeting with different kinds of people make all the difference. My personal favorite destination, though not initially planned, was the side trip to Fiesole. Seeing that fantastic view and being all alone in prayer in the S. Francesco chapel was so solemn. The visit to La Sala was also both exciting and fun! Such a beautiful place, such a beautiful country. Both Mom and I will miss you terribly! You are one extra ordinary Florentine!!! We will mention you in all of the friends we meet and who plan to visit Florence. All the best to you and the business!

Our tour through Chianti with Marco was one of the best days during our visit to Tuscany! Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about the area, its history, and the making of the wine, but he was extremely personable and enthusiastic. He showed us places we never would have found on our own, and included stops throughout the day that each offered something different for us to take back with us. My 12-year-old daughter and I had a wonderful day with Marco. Our day started with a morning artisan tour to see the San Marco leather factory, local brass artisans, and a fabulous mosaic inlay shop where breathtaking works of art were created before your very eyes. Marco then took us on a tour of the Chianti region outside Florence through the beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany. We stopped for lunch at a charming roadside inn and strolled through the cobblelined streets of several small villages. Marco was a fountain of information about what we were seeing, local history and customs. Most importantly Marco was able to hold the attention of my 12-year old daughter for the entire day. Bravo Marco!
